How To Employ The Detox Diet

How To Employ The Detox Diet

How To Employ The Detox Diet

If you seek a natural style of living, comprised of organic foods, home-grown fruits and vegetables, and fishing for yourself, then the detox program is an option you. This program is tailored to flush the body of poisonous materials. Detox plans are believed to be needed due to the inflow of chemical substances that are found in food. The detox process happens by the body exhausting toxins via the skin and the lungs. The diet may concur with some other natural health efforts, such as nutritional supplements, hydrotherapy, and exercise.

One may inquire as to how toxins get into the body to begin with? The body can become contaminated because of food additives, tobacco, mercury, drugs, and alcoholic beverages. During digestion, the body processes the pollutants. Along with facilitating weight oss, detox diets can ease migraines, stomach challenges, joint trouble, and the common cold. There are also signs that it is effective in fighting coronary disease and arthritis.

Like anything else, don't start a detox program prior to conferring with your physician. Signs like pain and tiredness may be signals that you are struggling from some sort of difficult illness that demands medical attention. In this instance, the detox program may not be sufficient in curing your malady. Detox plans may not always be the greatest selection, but if you imagine that you have consumed a large amount of chemicals and you are perpetually fatigued a detox plan may be necessary for your general health and well being. Advocates of detox plans recommend that one should detox twice annually in order to better their health. Even So, if you are enduring a specific condition, you may need to maintain the diet for an extended time period.

Results from the program like increased vigor, clear skin, smoother digestion, and clearer thinking may appear immediately. Once you have come to the close of your detox period, be certain to stack up on vitamins and minerals in order to refill your body's reserves.

Notwithstanding, the detox program isn't the strongest alternative for everyone. Individuals who suffer from coronary disease, cancer, and kidney disease shouldn't take part in such a program. In addition, though a detox plan can purify your body of toxins, you shouldn't substitute it for any medicine that you are taking. On that note, you should never quit taking any medication without first conferring with your physician.

Though there are many positive effects affiliated with the detox diet, there are some damaging side effects too. Some who have tried the program have complained of migraines, skin troubles, and tiredness. These outcomes appear to go away in time. Because of this, many people use vacation time to begin a detox plan so their work is not affected.

As restrictive as it is, there are many foods that you can have while observing a detox diet. You can ingest just about all fruits and vegetables, rice, fish, oil, and herbal tea. Make sure you drink eight glasses of water daily so you can purge the waste from your blood. Outside of this, you shouldn't have water right before or right after your meals. Likewise, make it a point to completely chew your food in order to aid in the digestion process. Much of the foods that you will have to do away with from your diet are sugar, milk, eggs, wheat products, gluten, and caffeine. Make sure that you keep away from foods that contain preservatives, yeast, chocolate, and anything high in fat.

It is unquestionably feasible to lose weight with a detox program. Sustaining the weight loss may be a bit of a challenge due to the fact that you will eventually go off of the diet. There are, still, some principles of the diet that you can utilize after you have completed it. You may lose the want to consume foods high in fat once you have finished the diet. An additional way to sustain your weight loss is to stop drinking alcohol. However, the detox program can present a challenge for most people, particularly if they use food to alleviate emotional stress, though as time passes they may reason that beginning a detox program was one of the best decisions that they have made regarding their health.

How to Determine Whether a Water Purifier Is Effective or Not

With the continuous improvement of people's consumption level, bottled water has gradually become the main way of drinking water. Some families will choose water purifier as another way to drink water, quickly and easily drink pure, healthy drinking water. But is the water purifier really useful? Water purifier can really filter the tap water as pure water to meet the needs of vegetables and other drinking water?

If you need to buy water purifier or softener - how to buy it?

Water purifier works by a variety of filters (such as PP cotton, activated carbon, reverse osmosis membrane, etc.), the water layer of purification, to achieve the purpose of removing impurities.

There is no national standard for purified water testing

An industry source states that, compared with tap water and bottled water, water purifier market smaller. So at present,India has not developed a unified standard, there is no counterpart to the special quality inspection departments. Water quality in different parts of our country is different, such as in addition to being polluted, the northern region generally water quality is hard, easy to cause stone disease and other health effects; the South region generally heavy metal exceeded the human liver, gallbladder, kidney and other hazards. So, the function of the water purifier revolves around the different requirements.

Buy an ideal and practical water purifier, should be considered from the following aspects:

First, whether there is a product health permits approval

Users must understand the importance of product quality when purchasing water purifiers.

Drinking water health supervision and management approach
Access to higher health supervision departments of the health permit, through the technical supervision department identification, in line with national "drinking water quality standards."

Second, the purchase of the appropriate filter is essential

The first generation of water purifier mainly through activated carbon, ceramics and other simple filtration, easy to breed bacteria, pollute the water, fail to achieve the effect of clean water; second-generation water purifier using a variety of artificial polymer membrane filtration, Material effect is significant, but it is a fatal flaw is filtered out of the body of trace elements. The third generation of water purifier is a nano-microcrystalline filter technology, a good solution to the second generation of water purifier defects, filter out the harmful substances in water and heavy metals. So when we choose the water purifier, we must ask the use of filtration technology and filter, to see whether to meet their own needs.

Third, whether it has a safe and effective sterilization technology

Water purification equipment use two ways sterilization, one is to add disinfectant, disinfectant can kill part of the bacteria, but the disinfectant contains a trace of harm to human health chemical composition; Second, ultraviolet disinfection, ultraviolet disinfection technology is internationally recognized as effective sterilization.

Fourth, whether the perfect after-sales service system

Many consumers want to buy some brands, cannot find the maintenance service phone or repair Service Companys address. Under this situation the consumers are not only helpless, but also face a waste of resources as many water purifiers become furnishings. Water purifier after sales services are mainly concentrated in the replacement of the filter, such as if the filter is not replaced in long-term, then, it will pollute the water, and the water purifier will become sewage." Select the water purifier that offers a perfect after-sales service, such as the use of customer service system to track customer information, suggesting that customers and companies to replace the filter and so on.

Fifth, the purchase of high cost performance

Water purifier structure is different; the effect of water purification is also different. Generally speaking, a filter water purifier structure is simple, mainly of activated carbon. Its filtration capacity is limited, can only be used for coarse filtration, the filter water is good to boil and drink.

Seven, choose some basic principles of water purifier

Water purification products should be cost-effective: the product quality is better, stable performance; more convenient to use; low maintenance costs and lower operating costs; have strong professional skills and good after-sales service etc are some of the principles.

How To Clear Out Toxic Heavy Metals From Your Body

How To Clear Out Toxic Heavy Metals From Your Body

Image source: http://organicmd.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/canstockphoto16423211.jpg

How To Clear Out Toxic Heavy Metals From Your Body

We all want to be healthy and even though many are following healthy dietary guidelines, they can still have serious health problems. Why is this so? One reason may be toxic heavy metals such as mercury, aluminium, cadmium, arsenic, lead, tin and other metal poisons that unfortunately are present in our environment and invade our body's everyday.

The fact is that heavy metal toxicity can cause or contribute to a long list of diseases including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, other brain and neurological disorders, along with cancers. Although the medical community recognises acute heavy metal toxicity there are far more people suffering from chronic exposure which we face everyday. This has become one of the most pressing health hazards of today.

Symptoms of toxic build-up can include Fatigue, digestive distress, aching joints, depression, impaired blood sugar regulation, miscarriage, infertility, premature births, pre-eclampsia, hypertension, cancer etc. In fact Health authorities estimate that at least 90% of all chronic diseases can be attributed to environmental pollution in one way or another.

Are you aware of the amount of heavy metals you are exposed to on a daily basis? We are exposed through the air we breathe, the food we eat, the utensils and products we use. From innocent looking cookware to children's toys. Vaccinations, dental work, insecticides, cleaning products, jewelery, industrial plants, burning jet fuel, the list goes on. Want more proof, a 2004 study by the Environmental Working Group (EWG) found that blood samples from newborns contained an average of 287 toxins, including mercury, fire retardants, pesticides and Teflon chemicals.

So how do we avoid heavy metal exposure and clear them out of our bodies? First you need to identify sources of metal exposure and limit your exposure. For example, avoid person care products and cosmetics with aluminium, use glass, titanium and lead-free pots and enamels- aluminium and Teflon are well known health dangers, filter your water, don't smoke or expose yourself to second hand smoke, remove mercury fillings etc.

Second you need to remove the toxic burden in your body and take the heavy metals out of your body that don't belong there. A cleaner healthier body heals and repairs itself. The best source I have found to do this is purified activated liquid zeolite.

The zeolite must be purified and activated which means the zeolite mineral cage has been cleaned out and is activated to have a strong negative charge to attract the positive charged heavy metals in your body. They are then trapped in the cage and safely and effectively excreted them from your body in your urine. The small molecular size of the zeolite only attracts particles such as heavy metals and toxins so vital minerals and vitamins are not removed which has been a problem with other chelating methods.

30 years has gone into this research and development of this dietary supplement to provide a 100% safe and non-toxic solution. This technology has only been developed in the last 3 years and is spreading like wild fire because it is scientifically based and proven to work. This is truly a huge advancement and breakthrough in removing the heavy metal burden on our body.

Now there are a number of other therapies you may have heard about including Chelation, Colon Cleanse, and nutrition. Unfortunately these come with limitations and some serious side effects. With Chelation the challenge is that these treatments are indiscriminate and attract vital minerals as well as heavy metals, requiring medical supervision and vitamin injections to avoid serious side effects. The other challenge is that the toxins are attached to the outside of the chelating agent, meaning they can do damage to the kidney or liver during elimination. This is something you really don't want to do unless it is absolutely necessary.

A good colon cleanse will get toxins out of the body. However if toxins are not removed from the body, they are reabsorbed through the gut wall causing secondary toxification. The challenge with Colon cleanse is that it only takes waste from the gut.

Another popular method of detoxification is to flood the body with high-level nutrients, such as antioxidants. We flood the body with high potency nutrition and it activates the immune system to discard unwanted toxins. However there is little hope for antioxidants and mineral supplements to do their job properly, if the body is burdened with heavy metals in the first place.

It is VERY IMPORTANT to source the high quality activated liquid zeolite that has been properly cleaned out and is pure and safe for use. If you are aware of a toxic build up in your body and are looking to remove heavy metals from your body do your research. However we have heard of nothing as effective as the activated liquid Zeolite in removing heavy metals from your body safely and effectively.

How to choose the best shark liver oil supplement

How to choose the best shark liver oil supplement

How to choose the best shark liver oil supplement

For many, one of the most difficult things is choosing the best shark liver oil supplement. A mountain of inventory is at both storefronts and internet stores making the decision making process a tedious one.

Although one might be tempted to choose any product, supplement health care specialists advise against this method, because it may be ineffective for health and wellness.

The best starting point when locating a shark liver oil supplement is making sure it has only oil and not cartilage. These are two different things. Shark cartilage is linked to contamination and health concerns, including PCBs, which may raise cholesterol levels.

Remember to always look for shark liver oil. Quality grade oil will not have fats, impurities, contaminants, heavy metals or pesticides.

Its also very important to find a manufacturer with years of experience behind them. Having a manufacturer part of clinical studies and referred by doctors and health practitioners is another huge bonus. Like any good supplement finding a company which is reliable is essential.

In addition to making sure that a shark liver oil supplement has been clinically tested and has been part of scientific and clinical studies, potential buyers also want to make sure that this dietary soft gel vitamin is safe and free of contaminants.

Find a manufacturer which has a patented process of distillation which is a pharmaceutical grade type of system.

Also make certain the product has the following on its label:

No artificial preservatives
No colors
No dairy
No starch
No wheat
No yeast
No sugar
No soy protein

Shark liver oil, which is incredibly high in Omega 3s, has another powerhouse ingredient called Alkylglycerols, otherwise known as AKG. This is what boosts the bodys immune system. AKG can be found in human bone marrow, liver, spleen and breast milk. Babies which are breast fed benefit from alkylglycerols giving them a host of health benefits which jumpstarts their immune system.

Natural oil from the liver of a shark offers the same health perks to both children and adults.

Because alkylglycerols is such a gem for the immune system, retrieving it from a sharks liver must be ultra-pure and its potency guaranteed. And this is the reason behind finding a patented process of distillation.

Before starting any new supplement, please contact a health care professional for guidance including the right dosage amount.

Dont settle for cheap imitations when buying this supplement. Buy only the best because shark liver oil improves the quality of health on so many levels.

How Shark Liver Oil Supplements Offer Asthma Relief

How Shark Liver Oil Supplements Offer Asthma Relief

How Shark Liver Oil Supplements Offer Asthma Relief

Those who have been diagnosed with asthma find that their disease can be a difficult daily challenge. On some days, it can be worse than others.

Marine life holds an array of treatments for a variety of health challenges, including asthma. And for those interested in seeking a more holistic remedy, shark liver oil may very well be right therapy to alleviate future asthma attacks.

But before jumping into this treatment, heres a brief overview about this disease and how shark liver oil can help.

For asthmatics, the passageways which send air to and from the lungs can become swollen, irritated and inflamed. Inevitably, this causes the airways, also known as the bronchial tubes, to narrow and this is what causes asthmatics to struggle with their breathing.

Physical symptoms of asthma include:
Coughing
Wheezing
Trouble sleeping
Shortness of breath
Tightness in the chest
Overall breathing problems

Generally, asthmatics suffer more in the mornings and evenings.

Treatments for asthma generally include medications, inhalers, nebulizers, and bronchodilators.

On the holistic flipside, patients are adding shark liver oil supplements as an adjunct therapy while others are trying it as a total therapy.

Some natural healthcare professionals have discovered that shark liver oil has a special active ingredient called alkylglycerols. It is a unique lipid. This ingredient, also known as AKG, is believed to reduce asthma symptoms.
But before buying a shark liver oil supplement, its so important to do research in finding the right shark liver oil soft gel supplement which is eco-friendly, pure and potency guaranteed.

Locating a manufacturer which is backed by clinical studies is really important, as well. This includes detailed information about their shark liver oil patented purifying process.

Always keep in mind that all supplements are not the same. Remember, a quality product will provide the best health benefits.

Shark liver oil helps reduce the reaction to allergic stimuli which can spur asthma attacks. These stimuli can include allergies to different things, such as:

Food
Animal dander
Chemicals
Dust
Pollen
Medication

A change in weather may also jumpstart an asthma attack.

Shark liver oil encourages macrophages, the white blood cells within tissues, to get rid of bad stimuli and debris in the lungs and airways.

While working hard to ward off bad stimuli that can trigger allergic reactions, it also prevents inflammation by blocking protein kinase C.

In Dr. Peter T. Puglieses book, Devour Disease With Shark Liver Oil, he highlights how asthma suffers can find relief with this marine oil. He first points out how asthma is an immune-type disorder which has been studied and researched in Sweden.

When test subjects with asthma took 250 mg of shark liver oil, three times a day investigators reported complete recoveries after six months of treatment, Pugliese wrote. He continued, Since this is an immune disorder, it responded well to the immunity-boosting alkylglycerols.
Before starting any new supplement regimen, its highly recommended to first speak with a healthcare professional while discussing the right dosage amount.

Shark liver oil, often called an amazing healer, is a great holistic way to help asthmatics breathe easier.

How Sesame and Sunflower Seeds Can Relieve Constipation

Sesame seeds for constipation
Using sesame and sunflower seeds for constipation make a lot of sense. If you like to eat seeds then this is once way you can add more fiber, vitamins and minerals to your diet and at the same time reduce your constipation.

Maoshing Ni, Ph.D., C.A. and Cathy McNease, B.S., M.H. in their book, The TAO of Nutrition,1987, recommends using black sesame seeds for chronic constipation. Here's what he says,

"Grind black sesame seeds into a meal by using a small coffee grinder. Mix with dark honey into a small ball. Eat one three time a day dipped in rice wine."

Black sesame seeds also provide nutrition and action on the liver, intestines, kidney, and blood.

You can also prepare a sesame seeds soup with brown rice. Soak 10 parts of sesame seeds with 1 part brown rice in distilled water After they are soft, about an hour, pour out the water grind them in a small food grinder to produce liquid. Strain the remaining liquid to remove coarse particles.

* Dilute liquid with distilled water and add some honey. * Cook on low heat until liquid becomes syrupy * Drink around two cups to relieve constipation with in hour or so.

And also, peas and brown sesame seeds - help to lubricate the intestinal walls. This makes it easier for fecal matter to move through your colon.

Sunflower seeds for constipation

Sunflower seeds promote regularity. Use them raw shelled and unsalted every day. They contain omega-6 fatty acid just like olive oil. You can use them grounded and add them to your morning smoothie, 1-2 teaspoons, or to your homemade salad dressing

* Add them to your salad * Add them to your morning cereal

Here's a sunflower drink you can make.

Take 1-2 tablespoons of sunflower seeds. Grind them in a coffee grinder. Add them to a cup of boiling water. Sweeten this mixture with honey, maple syrup, or blackstrap molasses. Drink this combination morning and night to help you with you constipation.

When you use grounded sunflower seed to add to your salad dressing your can also use sesame seeds at the same time. Use both of these seeds and experiment and find out how you like preparing them and eating them.

How much can a liver take

The liver is the largest organ in a human body. Its function ranges from protein production, clotting of cholesterol and sugar to iron metabolism. Hence, different diseases can also affect the liver.

Liver Diseases
According to the Hepatologists, there are many diseases of the liver. All these come under the term liver disease. 75 percent of the liver tissue should be damaged to cause any liver disease. According to them, there are many types of liver disease.

Types of Liver Diseases
Hepatologists divide liver disease into two types Alcoholic Liver Disease and Non Alcoholic diseases. Alcoholic Liver diseases are caused by excessive intake of alcohol. While non-alcoholic diseases happen to people with no alcohol intake.

1.Alcoholic Liver Disease
These are caused by high intake of alcohol. Some of the diseases are fatty liver, fibrosis or cirrhosis. Alcohol is the major cause of liver diseases in the western countries. But, alcohol is not the only reason for liver diseases. Many chronic drinkers develop cirrhosis and fibrosis.

Facts related to Alcoholic Liver Disease
1. Consumption of 60g-80g of alcohol for more than 20 years increases the risk of hepatitis.
2. If you drink alcohol other than the meal times, you are three times more prone to liver failure.
3. Women are twice more susceptible to alcoholic liver diseases than men.
4. Deficiency of Vitamin A and E can worsen the alcoholic related diseases.

1.Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver diseases
Although alcohol-related diseases are more, they are not the prime cause of liver failure. There are other causes as well. These come under Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver diseases. According to Hepatologists, Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver diseases are marked by liver inflammation. It may cause severe cirrhosis and ultimately death.

People Prone to Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver diseases
It usually occurs at every age. But people in their 40s to 50s are more prone to Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver diseases. It is linked to the metabolic syndrome. These people are more prone to Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver diseases:-

1. Overweight or obese people.
2. People with Diabetes, especially Type 2 Diabetes.
3. Insulin resistant cells.
4. High level of fats in the blood and liver. Excess fat acts as a toxin to the liver cells.
5. People who are at risk of heart diseases.

Symptoms of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver disease
According to Hepatologists, following are the symptoms of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver disease-
1. Fatigue
2. Pain in the upper right abdomen
3. Enlarged Liver

Symptoms of Non-Alcoholic Cirrhosis
Hepatologists consider these as the symptoms of Non-Alcoholic Cirrhosis-
1. Red Palms
2. Yellowing of the skin
3. Enlarged Spleen
4. Abdominal Swelling
5. Enlarges blood vessels beneath the skin

Prevention
1. One should always opt for a balanced diet. Diet should be rich in fruits, vegetables, and grains.
2. Reduce the number of calories. Opt for a healthy diet.
3. Exercise most of the days in a week. Maintain your weight by choosing a healthy diet and daily exercise. Get an OK certificate from your doctor if you havent been exercising past.

So, it is not just the alcohol which causes the liver failure. Also, the fats result in nonalcoholic fatty disease. So, instead of alcohols, you may also need to avoid the fat-rich products. Moreover, consult a Hepatologist when there is a presence of any of the above symptom as liver transplant can be your last resort.

How Does Ginkgo Biloba Affect the Kidney

How Does Ginkgo Biloba Affect the Kidney

How Does Ginkgo Biloba Affect the Kidney

Kidneys play an important role when it comes to cleaning up someones blood and ginkgo biloba can affect how it operates. The majority of people have two kidneys that are located below the rib cage and next to the spine. Kidneys are about the size of someones fist and act as filters. Not only do they filter blood which helps bring nutrients to someones body they also create urine, help control high blood pressure, keep someones bones healthy, and assist with manufacturing red blood cells.
Kidneys can become damaged and unhealthy from a variety of reasons. For one a physical injury such as an auto accident can cause kidney failure. Another common way would be if someone consumed too much harmful chemicals such as drinking a lot of alcohol. Having low blood volume, dehydration, drugs and diseases all can cause kidneys to shut down. Another ailment which can be very painful is kidney stones. This is a condition in which material builds up in the inner lining of the kidneys. Someone can get this health condition by not drinking enough water and consuming an unhealthy diet.

Ginkgo biloba comes from a tree called the ginkgo tree which can grow larger than 100 feet tall and may be one of the oldest trees available. This herb is sometimes used to treat kidney problems in Chinese medicine however in some countries they dont recognize that ginkgo as a solution because of lack of scientific evidence. Ginkgo is somewhat popular for being able to thin blood. So if there is blockage in the kidneys than this might be able to help.

Also ginkgo has something called antioxidants which can be helpful to someone and that includes improving the health of the liver. Various studies show that toxic damage to the liver can be reduced through the antioxidants of ginkgo. Also this herb can reduce inflammation that can be associated with kidney problems, which helps protect healthy cells and tissue from being damaged by the immune system.

The majority of people take ginkgo in a supplement form and this can come in a pill, powder and even liquid form. We recommend a multi-vitamin that has gingko for the simple reasons that its much easier to take a fewer pills rather than a whole lot. One brand that we really like uses pharmaceutical GMP compliance, enteric coating and standardized herbal extracts. To learn what these terms mean as well as why we recommend them, click on www.increasemyhealth.net.

Kevin Whisitt is a frequent author on a variety of health topics and enjoys breaking down complex topics too easy to understand language. You can learn more about Kevins work and how natural remedies can improve the health of the kidneys by clicking on Where to Buy Discount Vitamins.

Of the various types of liver disease, the most common types of liver diseases are known as hepatitis, cirrhosis, alcohol-induced liver disease, and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), which "describes a range of conditions involving the liver that affects people who drink little or no alcohol," as defined by the Mayo Clinic.
Hepatitis is the most common form of liver disease. It occurs when the liver is inflamed and is linked to the spread of various viruses, but can also be developed because of poisons entering the body, an autoimmunity or hereditary condition.

Cirrhosis of the liver, also known as chronic liver disease, is a very serious and deadly form of liver disease. Cirrhosis of the liver is caused by fibrous tissue developing in the liver that replaces dead liver cells, which may have died because of exposure to viral hepatitis, toxic chemicals or alcohol. Cirrhosis may cause severe scarring of the liver.

Alcohol-induced liver disease is caused through excessive consumption of alcohol primarily from individuals with disorders known as alcohol dependence or alcohol abuse. According to researchers at ALF, alcohol abuse is a leading cause of morbidity and morality around the world. In the United States, nearly 10 percent of men and 3 percent of women suffer from problems related to alcohol consumption, including liver disease.

NAFLD is also known as "fatty liver" disease and it can be caused by several issues such as obesity, diabetes, elevated cholesterol and elevated triglyceride levels. NAFLD can often be difficult to diagnose in beginning stages, but can rapidly worsen. Cases of NAFLD have even progressed to the stage of irreversible liver scarring, cirrhosis or liver cancer, according to the Mayo Clinic.

There are an array of signs that are common among nearly all types of liver disease, according to researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Medical Center. These symptoms include:

* depression

* jaundice or yellowing of the skin

* loss of appetite, nausea

* unusual weight loss or weight gain

* darkened urine

* vomiting>

* edema or under-the-skin swelling

* aplastic anemia

* ascites (accumulation of fluid in the abdomen

* encephalopathy

* changes in mental state or level of consciousness

If an individual shows any of these signs or symptoms, it is necessary for them to seek medical assistance immediately.

Developing Liver Disease

There are several possible risk factors for developing liver disease, although it is difficult to determine some cases and many researchers believe it is unclear as to what the determines NAFLD. According to the UIC Medical Center, the following are several potential causes of liver disease:

* congenital birth defects or abnormalities at birth

* metabolic disorders or basic body processes with defects

* viral or bacterial infections

* nutritional deficiencies

* trauma or injury

* alcohol or poisoning by toxins can attribute to alcoholic-related
liver disease

Additionally, the U.S. Federal Drug Administration (FDA) warned of another potential risk for individuals developing liver disease. The FDA detailed a strong link of liver failure with the Ketek (telithromycin) antibiotic manufactured by Saofi Aventis. Ketek is used to treat bacterial infections of the lung such as:

* mild- to moderate-pneumonia

* acute worsening of chronic bronchitis

* acute bacterial sinusitis

The increased warnings were based on findings by the FDA's reviews of the drug's postmarketing adverse events reports. The reports found that:

* Within the review, there were 12 cases of acute liver failure among Ketek patients.

* Of those 12, four were fatal and a fifth required a liver transplant.

* There were 23 additional cases of acute liver injury.

* In some patients, liver disease began developing after only a few doses of Ketek.

The increased risk of liver disease as related to consumption of Ketek caused the FDA to increase the warning label on the prescription drug, although patients of Ketek should cease taking the medication if they feel the signs or symptoms of liver disease.

Liver Disease Treatments

Treating the various forms of liver disease will vary based on a specific type and case, however, the following are often administered during treatment, according to the UIC Medical Center.

* bed rest

* avoiding alcohol

* consuming a well-balanced diet that has been pre-approved for
liver disease

* avoiding dehydration by consuming plenty of fluids, especially water

* avoiding unnecessary medications

* taking an anti-nausea medication as well as other specifically prescribed medications depending on the type of liver condition

If individuals have an advanced case of liver disease it may be necessary to for that patient to undergo a surgical procedure or liver transplant. Additionally, other treatments may include removing approximately a pint of blood one to two times a week for several months.

Children who are affected by liver disease may even require a surgery known as the Kasai surgery in which a patient will have part of their bile ducts replaced by parts of the intestine.

Any form of liver disease will likely be a time-consuming life-altering condition and often will be very costly in receiving medical assistance. Individuals who have Ketek-induced liver disease should contact a knowledgeable pharmaceutical law firm to better comprehend the details of a Ketek lawsuit.

How Alcohol Makes You Fat, Ugly, Impotent, and Destroys Muscle

How Alcohol Makes You Fat, Ugly, Impotent, and Destroys Muscle

If your goal is to get those ripped six pack abs and chiseled chest, then you need to seriously consider skipping happy hour with your friends and coworkers. The reason is because alcohol is proven over and over again to decrease a man's testosterone level and increase fat storage!

Zeus juice, do it fluid, liquid panty remover. Despite the manly and funny names we assign to alcohol; the truth is that alcohol will actually make you less of a man, if you drink it excessively.

It's true. Alcohol can increase your appetite and lower your testosterone levels for up to 24 hours after you finish drinking with your buddies. The damaging effects of alcohol on testosterone are made even worse when you exercise before drinking.

You may have already heard that alcohol contain empty calories which leads to the infamous beer gut, but that's only part of the story.

According to studies done by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, less than 5 percent of the calories from alcohol is stored as fat and the alcohol slows down your body in burning fat.

Here is how the study was done. There were two different groups of men. Group A were given drinks of vodka and Group B was given sugar-free lemonade. Each drink contained less than 90 calories.

After 30 minutes, fat metabolism was measured before and after consumption of the drink. For several hours after drinking the vodka, their bodies fat burning activities dropped by a massive 73%. It's not the calories in the alcohol that is the killer.

Most people believe alcohol will be stored as fat, but the real killer of alcohol is that it gets converted into a substance called acetate by your liver. The studies show that blood levels of acetate after drinking the vodka were 2.5 times higher than normal. Now why is acetate so bad for fat loss?

It's because when acetate is released into your body, your body will start burning the acetate before burning the fat in your body. And it appears this sharp rise in acetate puts the brakes on fat loss. So what is all this commotion about getting hungry when chugging down the alcohol?

Isn't my metabolism increased and in turn, will burn more calories? Well, it's true that your metabolism will be increased with alcohol, BUT studies have shown that people who drink alcohol before a meal tend to consume more calories.

Although drinking alcohol with your meal does increase metabolic rate, it also suppresses the number of fat calories your body burns for energy. Instead you will be burning acetate. And although drinking occasionally is okay, the results show that you cannot have a leaner, stronger body with excessive alcohol in your body.

Homemade Detox Remedies Your Healthy Guide towards Physical Fitness

We obsess over our weighing scale readings. People with flat tummies and thigh gaps are envied and epitomized. Society has turned us into fitness freaks, people who would go to any lengths to let lose those extra pounds.  Millions have been made from ideas, some extremely misleading, sold to us. Slim pills, dieting, liposuction, hunger strikes all in the name of looking and feeling fit.

Here is the thing, for you to lose weight, you must keep tabs on your calorie intake. All these other ideas and theories are just gibberish. The internet is flooded with ridiculous articles offering guidance on how to lose that tummy overnight,' that, my friend, is utter nonsense.

Detox, however, is a weight loss means that lots of people could vouch for. There are so many benefits to rip from this simple pocket-friendly method. Here is a well thought out list.

Benefits of using self-made Detox

  A lot of people tend to give up on the method after trying it out for just a short period. Homemade detox solutions are different. That is, they will only be effective if you use them for an extended period, preferably not shorter than two months. This is because these detoxes only do away with the water instigated weight in your body.

Continuous use has, but is not limited to, the following advantages

Removal of toxins

Detoxes hasten the toxin removal processes in the liver and the colon. The functionality of these body organs is strengthened.

A boost to your immunity

Detoxes are nutritious. Vitamins, anti-oxidants are only, but a few of the nutrients that detoxes introduce into our bodies. These nutrients come a long way in fighting off fungal and viral infections. Homemade detoxes are also rich in minerals and phytonutrients. This, therefore, helps fight diseases such as anemia and vitamin A deficiencies.

A rise in energy levels

This is the reason why they help lose weight in the first place. When your energy levels are on the rise, your appetite levels are usually on the low. It therefore, reduces your food intake which after that shrinks your calorie intake leading to weight loss.

Your brain functions much faster

There are times we feel so lazy and tired despite having not accomplished much within the day. An increment in your energy levels leads to an increased brain functionality.

Reduce stress levels

The hormone cortisol is the stress indicant in our bodies. A diseased or dysfunctional liver is high in cortisol levels. As previously highlighted, detoxes help make our organs healthier. This results in the plunging of this hormone into our bloodstream.

A regulated yearn for food

Most of us think that cravings are all in our minds, that all we have to do to beat them is to make a healthy choice. If we only knew how wrong we were. Hormonal imbalances often result in cravings. Self-made detoxes help to reduce these needs.

The question should be, what are some of these home-brewed detoxes? Below is a list of drinks for detox smoothie diet that will help you achieve those body goals faster than you expected, not in a day though.

Best Weight Loss Home-brewed Detox Drinks
Lemon beverage

A lot of people identify with these drinks. Nutritionists highly recommend it to those on a water diet. It is straightforward and quick to come up with the juice. All you have to do is to squeeze freshly bought lemons in a beaker. Go on to add cinnamon and cayenne pepper. If the mixture is too sour for your taste, then skip the last procedure and settle for slicing your lemon and soaking it in water overnight.

The cabbage broth and juice

 It is not as bad as you would imagine it to be. Blend peas, carrots, and cabbages to make the cabbage juice. For the broth bring to boil, cabbages, carrots and onions. Someone is probably wincing at this, but hey, this is your best bet to lose those extra pounds.

Tea as a detox

Green tea is a peoples favorite. There are, however, other types of beverages such as the ginger tea and the dandelion tea.  Such tea is rich in anti-oxidants - popularly referred to as catechins. Your metabolism is also significantly improved by consuming this tea.

Cucumber as a detox

This detox helps you shed the extra pounds. Blend the cucumber with a fresh lemon for amazing results.

Cranberry beverage

It is a must try for those who smoke or live around people who do. It aids in eliminating toxins brought about by cigarette smoke. The drink also helps in weight loss; this is through the conversion of those stored up fats into energy.

The magical salt-water mixture.

Add one or two teaspoons of water to form the mixture. The mixture should be drunk on a daily basis. You should, however, use hot or warm water to have all your salt dissolve into the water.

These drinks are somewhat interdependent. They will not work or bring out the desired results unless paired with the other. Choose the drink you like most and convert it into your daily beauty regimen, it always works.

Homemade Detox Cleanse that is best for you

This is highly dependent on what you aim to achieve with the detox. The green tea, for example, is best for people who desire to lose weight. How effective the detox is also dependent on how faithful you are to it, it is impractical to expect to see changes within a week.

Conclusion

These homemade detoxes will also not be as useful if you do not exercise healthy living. Stay away from junk foods and hit the gym once in a while. Additionally, these methods are not the best for those who wish to shed off a considerable amount of weight.

Although there is no need to consult your doctor while using the homemade recipes, it is essential for you to, if you notice any side effects such as severe diarrhea, to seek medical intervention.

HOMEMADE CATFISH BAITS - Introduction to Great Beginner Ingredients

Ive caught cats to over 110 pounds on homemade baits and over 25 above 60 pounds here in the UK so I know these baits work! Making your own homemade baits has massive advantages. Homemade big catfish bait and homemade big carp bait design has many similarities especially in how you use nutritional essential requirements to trigger each fish into feeding!
You have full control over just how unique and potentially powerfully attracting these baits can be. These baits may be very simple or complicated, but they all catch to varying degrees of success some catching more bigger catfish than others.

Catfish are very fast growing fish and are especially in need of baits that supply energy and digestible protein. The many types of tinned meats in your larder will do great for a basic start. Live moving natural baits can be used, like various species of worms, leeches, and other amino acid secreting creatures.

Untold big catfish have been hooked on luncheon meat, spam and similar variations on this pork theme. Meat meals in carp fishing are rapidly gaining favour as fish meals and shellfish meals become less sustainable and these are very successful too.

Many dried and tinned cat and dog foods make excellent catfish baits and are specially full of taste enhancers and enzymes (like betaine) and bacteria to make the food as palatable, tasty and attractive and digestible as possible. In fact I researched this area for carp baits and discovered in some brands that up to half the ingredients were actually commercially produced bacteria.

In one instance there were twelve types of this in one canned dog food and this demonstrates just how important they are to great taste development (for dogs) and better digestibility. Match fishermen have used pellet type soft cat food extremely successfully for similar reasons Im sure.

There seems no doubt that these fish love fatty meats. But it interesting to note that some brands catch more fish than others. This may be due to their better digestibility and solubility and breakdown and release of attractive amino acids, oils and bait fragments into the water.

Liver and congealed blood baits are very popular and the high protein content and massive amino acid leak-ff contribute much to their success. I may sound funny, but the wels catfish here in Europe and the UK are primarily surface feeding predators, sneaking up and ambushing potential prey from near the surface.

They can spend long periods of inactivity between feeding binges and I find carp are much easier to catch regularly because their feeding seems far more regular. That is my observation using home made baits on the bottom or in buoyant form, from about 8 years of fishing for catfish. I have even caught fish to 40 pounds on the surface itself.

On one occasion, I used a very large garlic sausage bait which was sandwiched between foam to make it float. I had set-up fishing in the dark, and while in the still dark early morning hours I began to get lots of line bites this went on for a while as waited with baited breath. As the first rays of day lit the foggy morning I could see that my baits which were only 2 yards from my own bank side, were actually sitting upon a dense bed of Canadian pondweed and so in fact one bait was half out of the water!

I put this down to another lesson of not wishing to shine a light at the water to check, and accepted it feeling positive that the catfish would track it down if they really wanted it. Half an hour later that bait was gulped down and a very hard-fighting 40 plus pound catfish graced the net!

There are so many opinions about catfish baits and I can only tell you my opinions based on my captures. One thing I will emphasise as in carp baits, is the use of curing or part fermenting your baits. This actually creates new flavours on and in the baits and release more amino acids, sugars alcohols, flavours etc. All very attractive!

You can try this with anything from herring or squid chunks to boilies. All you are really doing is heating the baits for a while to get bacterial enzyme activity working on starting to break down the bait. It seriously stinks and works a treat! (But dont go spilling your squid in the car like I did, and you are best handling baits with gloves!)

Many types of boilies will catch big catfish including those of meat, fish, and shellfish varieties. The poultry types like chicken seem popular right now.

If you wish to enhance your boilies potential for catching catfish I cannot recommend enough liquidizing squid and soaking your baits in this or in liver powder or squid extract powder plus amino acid supplement like Minamino, along with some pure salmon oil and sea salt.

Having said that, many preparatory preparations have the same effect as the above. It does seem to me that catfish fishing is very largely about soaking as much attraction into your baits as possible (including pellets) and ground baiting specifically to get your swim alive with small fish to draw in the big catfish. This method may take some time or not!

But I have regularly caught enough big catfish on this method to satisfy me.

Live-baiting is not my thing. I once fished a 2 pound gold fish supplied by a fishery, on a water that held a catfish in excess of 100 pounds. All I could think was this is just wrong!

I find that fishing over sweetcorn is interesting in that catfish seem to enjoy eating it too, although I realise many anglers reading this may prefer fermented maize or pellets of many descriptions. One memorable session I had was when I baited up with fermented herring and squid pieces of about one centimetre in diameter. I never saw so many tench bubbling on the baited area for hour after hour!

Tench seem like catfish magnets and this activity produced the biggest catfish in the lake not surprisingly!

After so many cat fishing experiences and big captures, I can honestly say, that I believe they can learn to avoid some baits in certain rich water situations if they get hooked on the same bait a few times, and I would always keep rotating and changing my baits and attractors.

To this end I leverage my experience and knowledge in designing baits for carp and very often fish paste or dough type baits which I know offer superior attractor leak-off of those all important essential amino acids, minerals, oils etc and very often provide far quicker results for big carp and catfish too. I now rate designed paste bait, maximizing certain aspect of catfish essential dietary requirements, over any other bait.

In fact I hooked the 2006 Wintons Kingfisher Lake (UK) record cat, just 10 minutes after arriving, I believe purely due to the massive leak-off of specialist attraction ingredients and additives from the bait and PVA bag paste baits and powders exploited to maximise attraction and pulling power of the hook bait area.

Well, these are just some very basic things to start you on your way instead of you religiously using whatever it is that perhaps is the reason you are reading this article.

Bait testing, experimentation and taking risks with new bait variations and versions while also utilising a control bait that you trust, will definitely massively multiply your results and keep you permanently ahead of the catfish and the crowd!

The author has many more fishing and bait edges up his sleeve. Every single one can have a huge impact on catches. (Warning: This article is protected by copyright.)

Homemade Carp Bait Secrets - Top  Energy Ingredients ' That Really Catch Big Carp!

* Nutritional carbohydrate ingredients: *
Too many anglers simply make baits from corn flour, or semolina, or ordinary soya bean flour with added flavours. They often have NO IDEA what fantastic catches they are missing out on by not using much more nutritional and attractive ingredients!

Examples of nutritional carbohydrate ingredients for use in your carp fishing baits:

* Beans, ground-up.

* Peas, ground.

* Lentils, ground.

* sweet lupin seeds ground.

* Nuts, ground.

* Seeds, ground.

* Full fat soya flour.

* Maize meal.

* Sluis CLO.

* Dog biscuits, ground.

* Cat biscuits, ground.

* Grains, ground grains and toasted.

* Seeds, ground seeds and toasted.

Mixing carbohydrate ingredients together with other nutritional bait ingredients, provides a more nutritional bait profile, and enhanced attraction. They can even boost the attraction of protein and fats providing even more energy when carp eat your baits.

Examples of great combinations to add to your nutritional bait include:

* 4 Mixed toasted kinds of seeds, like sesame, pumpkin, sunflower and hemp.

* 4 Mixed toasted nuts, like peanuts, walnuts, brazils, and hazels.

* The importance of fats in baits:

Introduction:

Lipids (fats or oils) are esters of glycerol and fatty acids and their associated organic groups.

Carp aquaculture often the fish and shellfish oils. They are among the most essentially nutritious food sources carp in carp farming.

With the dwindling availability of supplies of wild fish for foods, the substitution of fish oil with omega 3 (docosahexaenoic acid; DHA) derived from the fermentation of algae, is sufficient to sustain growth in aquaculture.

For carp baits, inclusion of lipids at 5 % of dry mix, or about 3 to 4 milliliters per egg, is enough to meet carp dietary needs For example 10 to 20 milliliters of pure high-grade salmon oil per pound of dry boilie base mix.

This is a very highly nutritional source, and is recommended by carp anglers as one of the very best oil source attractors.

For a good oils balance, try mixing equal amounts of plant and fish or shellfish oils together.

Compared to proteins and carbohydrates, carp derive the greatest amount of energy from fats, but fats are actually extremely important in maximizing energy from carbohydrates and protein too.

They are involved in many essential processes and indeed the fats which carp need for life are termed essential fatty acids. Carp utilize a balance, for example, of monounsaturates, polyunsaturates and saturated fats. They all have their individual roles regarding regulation and availability of energy circulation, in the form of cholesterol, blood sugars, and liver stored energy as glycogen.

Carp cannot synthesize essential fatty acids in their body, and so these must be consumed in their diet. This means, in effect, that they are highly attractive to carp when used in fishing baits.

* The carp essential Omegas series:

In simple terms the most important groups of oils to put into your baits, are the two groups of polyunsaturated (essential) fatty acids (PUFAs); Omega 3, and Omega 6. The more important, where deficiencies cause carp health problems, are the omega 3s:

* Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA.)

* Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA.)

* Eicosapentaenoic acid (EHA) or (EPA.)

Once consumed, the ALA is converted to EHA / EPA; these are the most readily utilized in the carps body.

Typical omega 3 sources used in baits include fish and shellfish oils, cod liver oil, hemp oil, flaxseed oil, sesame seed oil, mixed nut oil etc.

While omega 3s are mainly found in fish oils, the omega 6s are mainly found in vegetable sources. Important ones in the series for bait are:

* Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA.)

* Arachidonic acid.

Examples of omega 6 sources for bait use are: grains, eggs, poultry, seeds, nuts, and other common vegetable oils etc.

(Hemp oil is an obvious choice, containing all the carp essential 3 to 9-omega series!)

Its important to balance them, either in a single oil form, like hemp oil, or a mixture of oils with different omegas in your bait.

Different omegas have different effects in a carps body, for example omega 6 promotes inflammation and omega-3 reduces inflammation. (Some omegas regulate the others.)

* Examples of omega rich ingredients ideal for use in baits include:

* Hemp oil.

* Sesame seed oil.

* Canola (rapeseed oil.)

* Chia seeds.

* Flaxseeds (linseeds.)

* Niger seeds.

* Soya oil.

* Nut oils.

* Pumpkin seed oils ground-up seeds.

* Evening primrose oil.

* Emulsified pilchard oil.

* Emulsified herring oil.

* Ground canary seeds, like millet.

* Crustacean oils.

* Tiger nut oil.

Hemp oil is also rich in omega 9, as well as EHAs and GLAs too. Its natures most nutritious oil! Fish love it!

Niger seed, for example, is used by many bait companies, at, around 5 % or more, of their boilie mix; it is 40 % beneficial oils and 18 % protein!

Vegetable, shellfish and fish oils great for healthy growing carp and are also very attractive. When higher levels of these are used in aquaculture feeds, vitamin E is supplemented because too much fat can cause vitamin E deficiency in carp!

Most fish meals and shellfish meals that are ideal for use in carp baits are low in fat, at 1 % to 5 %, and therefore make an ideal bulk protein and fat providers.

Shellfish themselves ingest the two important omega 3 groups, (EPA and DHA) through the food chain, from algae and phytoplankton. Plants tend to supply more of the omega 6 group, and it can help to combine the two together in bait.

For optimum growth and balance, carp require linolenic essential fatty acids at 0.5 to 2.5 % of dry feed / bait mix. From this, carp can synthesize longer chain essential fatty acids such as: eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA 20:5n 3), and docosahexaenoic acid (EHA 22:6n 3).

Fish need these highly unsaturated fatty acids, (HUFAs) n 3 omega 3 and HUFA n 6 omega 6 of the fatty acid families. Sea foods are perfect ingredients for this role as they are highly digestible and more readily broken down than red meats or poultry.

Carp need long chain essential fatty acids. These are: gamma-linoleic acid and gamma-linolenic acid (GLAs.) For example: C22 and C221 found in shrimp and krill meals.

In the mid-1980s, one particular UK carp bait manufacturer supplied fish meal boilie base mixes containing high levels of oils with added food source oils. This combination allied with feeding of lakes with large quantities of this bait, produced amazing results over a very short period of time on many waters, because the nutritional value of the bait was preferably attractive to many baits of the time.

* Wheatgerm in carp baits:

Many fishermen hook more fish on baits made with wheatgerm in the winter; but why is this?

Commercial aquaculture feeds often contain wheatgerm at about 10 % of the dry feed mix to provide more easily digestible energy in cold water temperatures. Winter, colder water formulas often have a reduced protein content of fish meal for example, but with the addition of wheatgerm.

Wheatgerm has been proven in scientific tests to have a role in dietary fat and cholesterol assimilation: plasma lipids and cholesterol were significantly decreased by addition of these two wheat components in diets of rats.

Many substances that reduce harmful cholesterol in a carps body can be put into bait, are very healthy, and are very attractive to carp as a result. These act to keep the liver and circulation healthy, among many other helpful roles.

A word about bad cholesterol or saturated fatty acids. In the correct ratio with, for example, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, these are helpful in the carps body for energy production. They are broken down by enzymes (globular proteins), in successive two-carbon fragments called acetates. These then oxidize in the cells to produce energy, which is used or stored using adenosine triphosphate.

Cod liver oil is a great carp bait additive. It contains a profile very much like the famous carp attractor fenugreek extract. it contains a volatile oil, and two or more alkaloids.

Many alkaloids are especially powerful carp attractors and many can be used for effective homemade fishing baits for many species. Trigonelline and choline in the cod liver oil accelerate the release of energy from the carps liver, and reduce glycogen deposition.

Fish seem to really enjoy these effects, and getting caught on bait containing these substances! (Cod liver oil is one of the richest sources of vitamins A and D in the world too!)

* Lecithins to improve the attractiveness and digestibility of your baits:

In winter, it is recommended to drop oil levels slightly in your baits, and add an emulsifying lecithin. These make your oils into a water-soluble emulsion, making it much easier, very importantly, for the carp to digest your bait more effectively for energy.

Lecithins are very interesting ingredients. The newer enzymatically hydrolyzed ones have the best properties, including certain extra activity on other ingredients:

* Higher surface activity.

* Better emulsifying properties.

* Excellent emulsion stability, ('oil-in water dispensability.')

* Ability to interact with starch.

* Different kinds of interactions with proteins.

* Lecithins are derived from vegetable oil seeds, soya bean oil, and egg yolks.

They contain choline (a pre-cursor to betaine which assists natural lecithin production in the carp, reduces cholesterol levels in the liver, and is a major source of the essential amino acid in the carp, methionine) fats, inositol (essential at the cellular level for good functioning, especially in the intestine for digestion), and essential fatty acids.

Lecithins and wheatgerm are just 2 ingredients that can make all the difference, to produce great winter carp fishing results. It truly pays to discover as many bait edges as you can, for this colder season!

Home Remedies For Kidney Cleansing

Kidney cleanse should be done only after the cleansing of the digestive system and liver. Otherwise there is a strong possibility that serious health complications may arise. The mechanism of kidney-cleansing is based on extensive urinary excretion. That is why all remedies used for this process are strong diuretics.

Parsley seeds:1 tea spoon of seeds put in 0,5L of boiling water and steep over night in a thermos. Drink 0,5 of cup 2-3 times a day. Together with the infusion from parsley seeds drink an infusion made from raisins. Rinse 2 table spoons of raisins, put in 1 cup of boiling water and let stand over night. Drink infusion during the day and also eat raisins. The kidney-cleansing takes 7 days.

Coniferous cleansing:15g of pine, spruce, fir or cedar buds add to 0,5L of milk, bring to a boil, remove from heat and filter. Drink 0,5 of cup 2-3 times a day for 2 weeks. This kidney-cleansing remedy helps reduce kidney stones to sand and removes it from the kidneys.

Put 2 table spoons of finely cut roots of a dog rose in 1 cup of boiling water. Boil at low heat for 15 min, filter and drink 1/3 of cup of warm infusion 3 times a day. Continue for 1-2 weeks.

Carrot kidney-cleansing: 1 table spoon of carrot seeds put in 1 cup of boiling water and steep overnight. In the morning boil infusion for 3 min, let cool down and filter. Take 2 table spoons 3 times a day.

Place 2 table spoons of dried and crushed carrot tops in 500 g of boiling water and steep over night. Take 1/3 cup of warm infusion 4 times a day before meal. The treatment is long-up to 6 months-but brings very good and stable results.

Put 3 table spoons of fresh grated carrots in 1 cup of boiling water and steep over night. Drink during the day, slightly warming up every portion. The cleansing lasts 1 month.

Drink 1 cup of carrot juice 3 times a day for 6 months.

Onion cleansing:take 0,5L bottle and fill half of it with cut onions, add vodka up to the top and keep in warm place of 10 days. After that filter and take 1-2 table spoons 2 times a day before meal.

Herbal cleansing:corn stigmas have strong diuretic action. Taken for a long period of time they help to dissolve stones in kidneys and also protect urinary tract from infection. Put 1 tea spoon of corn stigmas in 1 cup of boiling water and steep on steam for 2 hours. Drink 0,5 of cup 3 times a day 1 hour before meal for 6 months.

Put 1 table spoon of crushed bearberry leaves in one cup of hot water and steep, covered, on a water bath for 30 min, then cool and strain. Add enough cold boiled water to make one full cup. Take warm 1/3 cup 3 times a day.

Put 1 tsp of flax seeds in 1 cup of water and bring to a boil. Drink 1/2 cup with seeds every 2 hours for 2 days. To improve taste mix in small amount of honey.

Put handful of pumpkin seeds in 1/2 L of boiling water and keep in a thermos overnight. Drink small amounts during the day.

Mix together equal parts of honey, radish juice and beet juice and keep in a warm place for 5 days. Combine 1 tbsp of mix with 1/2 cup of hot boiled water and take 3 times a day before meal. The length of treatment is 1L of mix.

Put 1 tsp of parsley roots and 1 tsp of parsley leaves (all cut to small pieces) in 1 cup of boiling water. Wrap up and steep for 2-3 hours. Slowly drink 1/3 of cup 3 times a day before meal.

Home Ayurveda Remedies and Treatments for Uric acid Disorder

In Ayurveda planet Uric acid is called "Aadya-Vaat". It is a disease of the affluent and rich people. There are many simple home remedies for Uric acid which can help to ease the pain like applying ice on the inflamed toe or joint, eating cherries, avoiding pulses, cereals or high protein diet, but one of the most important things is cleansing the blood and correcting the disturbed purine - pyrimidine metabolism. The proteins which are processed in the liver are not correctly processed thereby leaving the intermediate metabolites causing an increase in uric acid levels. This increased uric acid crystalizes around various joints especially the toe joint and causes pain and inflammation.
The Ayurveda treatment of Uric acid consists of eating an alkaline diet rather than acidic diet.

1. Cherries, Strawberries, fresh fruits, and vegetables are good in uric acid treatment. They are alkaline in nature and help to decrease uric acid.

2. Various Ayurveda remedies like suranjan, guggul (Commiphora Mukul), Berberis aristata, Manjistha- Rubia cordifolia, Giloy (Tinospora cordifolia), Neem, Haritaki, Bhibhitaki, Amalaki (Trifla), Vacha are all useful in purfiying the blood and helping in gout. Most of these Ayurveda herbs are explained by ancient Ayurveda scholar Chakradutt in his text in the name of Navkarhik powder.

3. Chakradutt - an ancient Ayurveda scholar described Navkarshik powder which was a mixture of 9 herbs as excellent Ayurveda treatment for gout. This herbal combination not only clears the uric acid and gout but also helps in cleaning the blood.

4. Kishore Guggul - This is a traditional Ayurveda treatment of gout. Kaishore Guggul is especially useful for collecting Pitta (uric acid) in the muscles and every joint of the body, which can be symbolized by inflammation and pains. Regular Chronic can also lead to serious illnesses such as tendonitis, bursitis and Gouty arthritis. It also helps skin diseases and cleanses the blood.

5. Bathing the feet in Epsom salt is also a good home remedy for gout.

6. Drink water in abundance 8-10 glasses per day will flush away toxins and dilute the uric acid levels.

7. Punarnava Mandur - This is another ancient remedy described as an Ayurveda treatment for Gout. This treatment helps to reduce swelling and other inflammation in the human body.

Hereditary Hemochromatosis - It can be Treated

Hereditary Hemochromatosis (HH) is the most common genetic disorder of persons of northern European extraction. The most common gene involved in causing Hereditary Hemochromatosis (HH) is the HFE gene. Most patients with hemochromatosis have two copies of the HFE mutation C282Y.

In persons of northern European extraction approximately 1 in 10 persons carries one copy of C282Y. Even one copy of C282Y can be associated with too much iron in the liver, high cholesterol, diabetes and the skin disorder porphyria cutanea tarda.

Approximately 1 in 200 to 300 persons of northern European extraction carry two copies of C282Y.
In some northern European populations eg Ireland, Iceland and Brittany the percentage of persons carrying one copy of C282Y is higher. Predictably countries settled by northern Europeans eg Australia, South Africa and Canada have high rates of hemochromatosis.

HH is characterized by excessive absorption of dietary iron and a consequent progressive increase in total body iron stores. Iron accumulates in the parenchymal cells of the liver, the heart, pancreas, anterior pituitary and skin. This accumulation of iron in body tissues causes disease.

In severe HH the disorder manifests as potentially life threatening conditions such as septicaemia, cirrhosis of the liver, liver cancer, diabetes, heart failure and heart arrhythmias. Arthritis is common and a severe arthritis involving numerous joints may occur. Ovarian and testicular failure secondary to iron deposition in the anterior pituitary and possibly the hypothalamus may occur. Rarely hypothyroidism may occur.

If HH is not treated liver disease may be fatal. The morbidity and mortality of HH can be reduced by early diagnosis and treatment by phlebotomy or blood letting.

There is frequently a delay between the onset of symptoms and diagnosis. This is because early symptoms such as fatigue and arthralgia are non-specific.

Hereditary Hemochromatosis fits the criteria set by the World Health Organization for population screening for a disease:

1. The homozygous genotype is common and is potentially fatal if not treated
2. The disease has a lengthy latent period with asymptomatic iron accumulation followed by a period of iron overload with reversible organ injury
3. Treatment during the latent period and the period with reversible organ injury restores the life expectancy to normal. (Treatment is safe, effective and cost effective)
4. HH can be detected by measurement of the transferrin saturation (TS).

It is very important to make an early diagnosis of HH because patients who have not developed cirrhosis and are treated by phlebotomy have a normal life expectancy.

When the diagnosis of hemochromatosis is made it is important to adjust the diet so that too much iron is not being absorbed because of an improper diet. The biggest considerations are not to take medications which contain iron, consume too much alcohol or Vitamin C.

The ingestion of black tea has been shown to decrease the absorption of iron. African tea which is becoming popular may contain iron so too much should not be consumed. Don't take milk thistle which has often been touted as good for the liver as it can cause severe problems in those with hemochromatosis.

Don't eat raw shellfish. They may be contaminated with Vibrio vulnificans which thrives in an iron rich environment. There have been fatalities in the northern hemisphere. Cooking inactivates this organism.

Here Is A Quick Cure For All About Hepatitis  Overview & Basics

Hepatitis is a condition of inflammation of the liver, which is mainly caused by excessive use of illegal drugs, alcohol and certain medical conditions. Another most common cause of this disease is virus, known as Viral Hepatitis, which can spread through unhygienic conditions and being in physical contact with a carrier. There are three common variables of the disease i.e. Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C.

Symptoms of Hepatitis:

In the early weeks after infection, there are no visible symptoms and this phase is known as acute phase. As the disease worsens the patient starts experiencing symptoms such as jaundice, fatigue, nausea, mild fever, belly pain and poor appetite. The advancement of this disease is so slow that even Hep B and C patients dont show any symptoms for many years until they become chronic.

Basics of Hepatitis A:

Hepatitis A is highly contagious and can spread from one person to another in different situations. It normally spreads through contaminated food and water. Food can be stained with the virus when the infected person touches it without washing hands after using washroom. Fruits, vegetables, raw shellfish and under cooked food are also some common culprits for spreading the virus. It usually cause very mild illness due to which many people dont even know that they are infected with the virus.

One of the primary risk factor for being infected with this disease is traveling to or living in a country having a high rate of infection. Drinking tap water and eating raw or exotic foods during your travels can also increase the risk of infection. Children attending day-care centers have high risk of developing the condition transmitted through infected employees as the immune system of children is very vulnerable at an early age and they are in direct contact with day-care providers.

In most cases, this type of virus goes away on its own and no medication is needed. Some lifestyle changes can be adopted to control the symptoms by eating well-cooked meals, drinking plenty of water, juices, or sports drinks for hydration and avoiding hard or strenuous exercises.

Basics of Hepatitis B:

Majority of patients affected with this type of viral Hepatitis may get mild symptoms that go away in a short time period. Some patients may not clear the virus from their body permanently, causing long-term damage to liver. Hep B virus can lead to some serious problems such as liver damage, liver failure and liver cancer.

Hepatitis B can spread through contact with blood and body fluids of the infected person. In USA, the virus often spreads through unprotected sex, using an infected persons syringe, razors or toothbrush. It is also known that infected mothers can pass the virus to unborn children during childbirth. On the plus side, Hepatitis B is not contagious and doesnt spread through hugging, coughing or sharing food and drinks.

People who have drug abuse issues, have multiple partners or are living with a patient having chronic stage and healthcare workers who can get exposed to blood in their line of work have a high risk of developing Hepatitis B.

The main goal of treating this virus is to control it from damaging the liver. Antiviral medications therapy may be recommended by the doctor and controlled according to each patients condition.

Basics of Hepatitis C:

This type is caused by a virus called as HCV and the nature of this virus is very different from other two variants. Only about 25% of patients suffering from Hep type C have recovered within a short period of time whereas most will carry the virus for a long-term elevating the disease to a chronic stage. This chronic stage cause serious complications such as liver cancer and if left untreated, liver failure is most likely to occur.

This type of virus spreads through infected blood transfusion, using pre-infected needles and other items that can reach the blood stream. An infected mother can also pass the virus to the baby while its in the womb.

People injecting illegal drugs even for one time are at high risk of developing the disease. Also, anyone who has received a blood transfusion before 1992 is also high risked because blood screening practices were not in place before this year and Hepatitis C infected blood could have been used for transfusion.

Various drugs and medications approved by FDA are used for the treatment of HCV as per doctors recommendations. Liver transplantation is also a viable option for patients with complete liver failure. These days Hepatitis C is not untreatable but prevention is still the best option and as mentioned above a little change in lifestyle can ensure you are safe from this very elusive yet chronically endangering threat.

Herbs That Boost Metabolism to Lose Weight

People most often want to increase their metabolism to burn more calories, lose weight, and boost their energy. But more importantly is how to increase your metabolism. Herbs are a natural way to increase your metabolism because herbs are made from the leaves of herbaceous (non-woody) plants. The Chinese has used herbs as dietary supplements for thousands of years. Some herbs have a thermogenic effect on the body. These herbs enhance the bodys ability to generate heat energy also known as thermogenesis. In addition these herbs help to process digestion, nutrient breakdown and improves circulation, all of which to help increase the bodies metabolic rate. Many herbs are spices used in cooking, however not all spices are herbs. Use these herbs in your regular diet to speed up your metabolism, burn calories and lose weight.

Fennel
Fennel has many properties in which it helps to increase metabolism to lose weight. It works as an appetite suppressant, diuretic and digestive aid. Fennel helps to eliminate toxins and waste products from the body, improving the bodys ability to work more effectively. By aiding the digestive system, fennel increases the metabolism to use energy more effectively to burn calories. It is also an antioxidant that contains vitamin C, B-vitamins, potassium, magnesium and calcium all essential vitamins and minerals that the body needs to function properly.

Dandelion
Dandelion is known for its diuretic properties, which flush out the kidneys, boost metabolism and stops the cravings for sweets. As a diuretic dandelion detoxes the live which aids in the metabolism of fat and normalization of blood sugar levels.

Psyllium
Psyllium has often been used as a dietary fiber supplement in weight loss pills and products. Psyllium cleanses the colon to eliminate fat, but its fiber content makes you feel fuller for longer, reducing the urge to overeat. It effectively reduces bowel obstructions, which causes regular bowel movements and raises ones metabolism as you excretes waste. With its anti-inflammatory property, psyllium aides in intestinal, colon and digestive health.

Milk thistle
Milk thistle strengthens and clears the liver and gallbladder, making it known as a detox herb. Abnormal liver function can slow the metabolism down due to unnecessary toxins, chemicals and waste that needs to be excreted. Milk thistle repairs the liver, which in turn enhances metabolism and aids in weight loss. As a dark leafy green vegetable, milk thistle is loaded with fiber aiding in digestion and fat metabolism.

Alfalfa
Alfalfa is known for its diuretic properties, which aid in elimination of waste in the body and enhancing digestion. To attain optimal digestive function you must increase your metabolism to provide energy for assimilation and absorption. In turn the body will burn more calories efficiently and effectively. Alfalfa also contains saponins, which increase the solubility of fats, making it easier for metabolism. It also cleanses and detoxes the entire digestive system including the liver, intestines and colon.

Hawthorn
Unlike the previous herbs mentioned, hawthorn doesnt affect metabolism directly, however it stimulates the adrenal glands and the thyroid. The thyroid helps to control the metabolism, so hawthorn causes increased metabolism as a secondary reaction. When your metabolism increases more energy is available throughout the body. Hawthorn also reduces water retention in the body, eliminating bloating, inflammation and overall helping to decrease weight.

Herbal Remedies for Wilson's disease

Wilson disease is a rare genetic disorder that causes too much copper to accumulate in different parts of the body. A small amount of copper is needed to stay healthy but too much amount of copper in the body is poisonous.

In Wilson disease, copper builds up in the liver, eyes, and brain and also in other organs. High levels of copper in the body can cause life-threatening organ damage. ATP7B is a gene that prevents the body to get rid of extra copper. The symptoms typically begin between the age group of 12 and 23.

People suffering from Wilson disease cannot release copper from the liver at a normal rate, due to the mutation of ATP7B gene. When the copper storage capacity of the liver is exceeded, copper is released into the bloodstream and travels to other organs including brain, eyes and kidneys.

Allopathic treatment includes the prescription of medicines which include chelating agents which prompt the organs to release copper into the bloodstream. The copper is then filtered from the kidneys and thus released into the urine but when liver damage is severe, a liver transplant is recommended but Wilson disease can be cured by Ayurvedic natural remedies. Planet Ayurveda offers combination of natural remedies which cure the Wilson disease without causing any side-effects.

Wilson disease is often misdiagnosed because it is rare and its symptoms are similar to those of the other health conditions.

WHAT ARE THE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF WILSON DISEASE?

A build-up of copper in the liver results in ongoing liver disease such asjaundice, yellowing of skin, fatigue, edema, swelling of liver and spleen.
A build-up of copper in the central nervous system results in neurological symptoms such as tremors, uncontrolled movements, difficulty in swallowing, sluggish speech, difficulty in physical co-ordination, muscle stiffness, behavioural changes etc.
Other symptoms includeanaemia, low platelets, slower blood clotting, presence of amino acids, carbohydrates, uric acid in the urine.
In the eyes, copper deposition results in the rusty-brown ring around the edge of the iris and in the rim of the cornea.

RISK FACTORS

If the parents or siblings of an individual have been diagnosed with this condition, then there is a risk of developing this disease. Diagnosing the conditions as early as possible dramatically increases the chances of successful treatment.

TESTS AND DIAGNOSIS

Diagnosing Wilson's disease can be challenging because its signs and symptoms are often indistinguishable from other liver diseases such as hepatitis.

Tests and Procedures used to diagnose Wilson's disease include:-

Blood and urine tests
Eye examination
Removing a sample from liver tissue for testing
Genetic testing
